Village Underground Barcelona

Village Underground Barcelona is the local edition of a project born in London: a warehouse-style space with an industrial look and no decorative pretensions, built for club music and mid-sized live shows. The programme leans towards electronic and dance music — house, techno, bass — with long late-night sessions, but indie, hip-hop and independent-label acts play here too. It is a standing room where the sound system is the point and the furniture is minimal: you come to dance or to watch up close, not to sit down. Tickets are sold online in advance and nights with an international headliner sell out before the date; on the door, when there is a door price, it costs more.
