Parc del Fòrum

The Parc del Fòrum is the concrete-and-sea esplanade that closes Barcelona off to the north-east, built for the 2004 Fòrum de les Cultures and since then the city's main festival site. It holds tens of thousands of people and several stages at once: it is the home of Primavera Sound and has hosted Cruïlla and other large festivals, with line-ups ranging from indie and electronic music to international pop. This is not a room but an open-air site, with everything that implies — sun, sea wind and long walks between stages. Metro line L4 (El Maresme-Fòrum) and the tram serve it. Tickets, usually festival passes or day tickets, go on sale many months ahead.
